When I put him down for a nap yesterday he said “I love you!” to me for the first time. 😍😭 Motherhood, man. What a role.
Subway tiling again this weekend! Last weekend we tackled the kitchen and this weekend it’s a shower. Learning as we go, we really are total amateurs but so far so good. (Proof that anyone can do this!) Love this classic look and how it really transforms a space.
I’m single parenting this week while Daniel is out of town and it always leaves me feeling like superwoman along with a combined greater appreciation for both my spouse and single mothers. 👊🏽 Final stretch! Thanks to our home team we’re making it. 🎉
Made it to the market this morning! First time all winter. Spring is coming and we are so thrilled about it. 🌷
Date! We go out so much less frequently now than we did pre-kids so the times we do get together now are like gold. ✨
Flying with toddlers, like all of motherhood, is unpredictable. Our flight down was easy and our flight home was tough. I shared the list of things everyone suggested we bring for the flight on the blog for those asking, including what to do when it all goes wrong. Because at some point in motherhood, things will go wrong, and all you really need is the kindness of a stranger to tell you “He’s doing great. I know it’s hard.” More on the blog.
The sofa is here! And it’s already in use as a jungle gym.👌🏽 I agonized over this fabric decision - I was so focused on tying to pick something durable for kids, that I forgot about what would actually look good in the space. Ultimately, I went with what I liked, and I am so glad that I did. If it stains, we’ll treat it. But life is too short to live with design decisions based around kid proofing. I worked with @roveconcepts, who were awesome and sent me samples and talked through fabric durability with me. More photos and thoughts behind this decision process on the blog. #ad
