THE LONDON PLANE

On Saturday we brunched with some of our friends at The London Plane. It's definitely my new favorite brunch in Seattle, and I felt like it deserved it's own post.

My husband could not stop raving about the coffee. They partner with Caffee Umbria, an Italian roaster next door, and I agreed, a 10/10.

The ambiance is like none other. A combination of a market, bakery, flower shop, open kitchen, two-story restaurant and bar combined, the setting is unique and beautiful. The giant ceilings, white walls, and floor to ceiling windows are spectacular. I kept saying to Daniel, "I feel like we're in Europe!"

Freshly baked pastries that looked like they were straight from a kitchen in France.

Daniel ordered this salmon lox with marinated beets, fennel, creme fresh and a soft boiled egg, cooked to perfection. The dish was divine. One of the best brunch items I've ever tasted.

I ordered the salad sampler, which was also amazing. You cannot go wrong here. Each item is like a delicacy.

A perfect special occasion, fancy brunch! So well done. If you're in the Seattle area it's definitely worth a visit.

SACRAMENTO FAVORITES

It's been a whirlwind week here. I've visited both family and friends in the ER of hospitals in both California and Washington, for 4 out of 7 days last week. Insane to say the least. Everyone is fine and recovering, and I am very much enjoying being back in a semi-normal routine and having a hospital-free weekend. Regularly scheduled posts are set to resume here soon.

While in Sacramento I got to visit some of my favorite places:

Temple Coffee. And iced. Spring is coming.

Pushkins Bakery. Best new GF bakery in town.

The Sunflower. Love their nachos. And to get to eat outside, such a treat.

In the midst of the craziness, I'm so thankful for a supportive and helpful husband, a rockstar family, and amazing friends who've rallied in the best ways. Our life is rich because of the people we know. Thankful.

FAVORITE TRAVEL BEAUTY ITEMS

I am a notorious over-packer (see this post here) but last week, I packed in a carry-on for our trip to Mexico. A few travel-sized beauty items are what saved me. My top 10 favorites are listed below, including some of my everyday-can't-live-without items.

1. Tresemme Dry Shampoo - A required product for me. Especially when traveling places where you don't want to bother washing your hair daily.

2. Tresemme Hair Spray - I recently learned how to tease my hair for volume, and it's been a gamer changer for me.

3. Travel sized toothpaste - A necessity for carry-on luggage.

4. Bobbi Brown Blush - Love this blush in Pale Pink. The brightest pop of color.

5. Jane Iredale Powder - A great mineral, pressed power.

6. Illuminare Foundation - My favorite foundation also happens to be travel-sized approved. This mineral foundation has awesome coverage and great staying-power.

7. Bare Minerals Bronzer - I wear it daily for a healthy glow.

8. Julep Eyeshadow Palette - Love the neutral color palate.

9. Johnson's Baby Wash - doubles as a gentle face wash and body wash in a convenient travel size.

10. Garnier Fructis Shampoo and Conditioner - I like to travel with my own conditioner, because the hotel ones never feel like they do the job. This brand is widely available.

That's all I travel with, beauty product wise! I wear eyelash extensions (in-depth post coming soon) so I don't travel with mascara or an eyelash curler. It's been life changing. Love all these products!
