SHOPPING THAT EMPOWERS WOMEN GLOBALLY

I know it's the very end of summer, but if you're looking for a fashionable, ethical sandal that empowers women globally (I mean, what could be better?), check these out.

Made by one of my favorite ethical brands, these sandals employ women in Uganda who earn an income and higher education support, ending the cycle of poverty. Read more about the company's story here.

I love the cause and I love the sandal. The sole is surprisingly soft, cushiony, and flexible; it feels more like a slipper than a hard sandal. (Fit note: they run big, be sure to order a whole size down)

Perfect for a an upcoming winter getaway or as a gift for someone or yourself.

NEW BAR IN TOWN

Not that kind of bar :)

There are a million protein bars on the market marketed to us as "healthy" but many of them are anything but. I'd seen these RXBARS before (I'm a sucker for good packaging and anything GF) but hadn't tried them, so when they reached out to me to try a sample I happily agreed.

They're great. Chewy, delicious, not too sweet, packed with protein and clean and healthy. A great snack for toddlers and adults. They are on the pricier side of bars but they are big, so you can split into two snacks (IF you have enough self-control) :) The chocolate flavor is my favorite.

Shared in partnership with RXBAR.

MODERN PLAY KITCHEN

I searched high and low for a modern play kitchen and when I found this one I gasped. Grey cabinets, gold hardware, and a farmhouse sink? Swoon. I'm only slightly jealous that my toddler got my dream kitchen before I did.

Play kitchens are great for developing play and language skills and it's one of those toys that will get used for years to come. This one comes in two separate pieces so the fridge is movable and doubles as extra storage. It's on sale this weekend here. Happy pretend cooking!
